The market share of 110 cc motorcycles is approximately 50 percent. On the other hand, the motorcycle of 125 to 135 cc motorcycles is around 17 percent and then 150 cc motorcycle market shares is about 33 percent. Despite the increase in motorcycle sales, the use of the motorcycle in Bangladesh is much lower than in neighboring countries like India, Pakistan. However, according to the researcher, Bangladesh will also increase its use in a significant number of times.

Motorcycle Brands: At present, near about 30 domestic and foreign motorcycle brands in Bangladesh are selling their motorcycles. Each brand is going forward with a variety of advantages and policies. For example, Japanese company Yamaha and Honda has been conducting business in Bangladesh with their Sports and Standard type motorcycles. In Bangladesh Yamaha’s trading partner are ACI Limited, and Hand’s Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation.On the other hand, Indian motorcycle manufacturer such as Bajaj, Hero or TVS are very success in Bangladesh in standard motorcycle category. Meanwhile, according to Runner and Walton, local motorcycle manufacturer are not too lagging behind, they are also moving forward in equal proportions. They also have remarkable success in making standard type motorcycle.
